Here at Foundry Coffee Roasters we are committed to sourcing the best green coffee beans from all over the world. We love finding out about the people who grow them for us and the places they come from. Then we spend a lot of time experimenting with our roaster until we are happy that we have found the perfect roast profile for each and every batch of beans. Finally, we get the super-fresh beans out to you by first class post in convenient packaging that fits through your letterbox. No more trips to the sorting office. Our beans are only ever roasted to order; this means that we never hold any stocks of roasted coffee beans. We believe that this commitment to freshness is an essential aspect of our business. Here’s why…… •Green coffee beans stay fresh for over a year. •Roasted beans stay fresh for three to four weeks. •Ground coffee stays fresh for one to two hours! This is why we don’t sell ground coffee. Need a grinder? We also think that coffee tastes best around 4 or 5 days after roasting, right up until around 3 or 4 weeks. Our packaging has been custom designed with a convenient shopping experience in mind. Our coffee will fit through your letterbox which means that you don’t ever have to go anywhere near a sorting office (who has time to do that?). Our prices always include postage to keep things simple and we pack 400g of coffee into each bag (almost twice as much as you get at the supermarket). This means that even the caffeine addict should have enough to last over a week and for most of us a pack lasts a couple of weeks or more. We have designed our business around quality, freshness and convenience and hope that you will order little and often to ensure that you always have the best quality beans, ready to grind fresh for your coffee. We currently roast once or twice a week on our brand new roaster, sometimes more often if we’re getting behind! Our regular roasting days will change but we’ll always let you know the next two roasting days on our homepage. We think that our small capacity, high quality Probat 5kg roaster really helps us to precisely control the roast and get consistently amazing results. In between roast days, we spend a lot of time experimenting with roasting profiles, roasting samples and cupping coffee to try to find those beans with the potential to be offered to our customers.
