PORTRAITS FROM YOUR PHOTOS Own a portrait by South African artist Japie Goosen. Now living in Manchester UK, Japie Goosen a self-taught artist was born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa. It is his belief that given the right environment and encouragement, we all possess an innate ability and desire to create. He hopes that his work will inspire others, to at least once in their lifetime, try their hand at art. Coming from an artistic family that encourages creativity and curiosity, Japie originally worked for an Art Studios, airbrushing portraits. He soon started off on his own painting murals on walls, which led to creating and manufacturing graphics and signage for businesses and the industry. He enjoys many art media . . . . but mostly loves the simple black and white minimalist effect of charcoal sketching (and of course your drawing materials is only a barbecue away). The ability of charcoal to render not only harsh, sharp lines but also soft subtle shades quickly transforms a couple of lines into a 3D image. There is nothing more natural, basic, and elementary than working with charcoal, what is more rewarding than seeing a subject quickly come to life. . . . . Charcoal drawings and charcoal paintings have become much admired in recent years, and very valuable artworks in their own right; the sketchbooks of Leonardo da Vinci for example. Modern protective materials have rendered these sketches extremely durable, making them valuable additions to your family art collection, beautiful heirlooms to pass onto future generations and always a GREAT gift idea!!!! Portraits can be commissioned for any occasions such as, births, weddings, anniversaries, graduations other special occasions. The subject can be yourself, your relatives, your family, your pets, your house, your car, flora and fauna, or any other landscape or item that you like. SIZES: Custom Portraits 16.5 X 12 inches HOW TO ORDER: Email a photo(s) that flatter the photographed person. If you don''t like the way you look in the photo, pick another one you''re happy with. Send photos with the highest resolution. The better the image is, the more detail the artist will be able to incorporate into your drawing. Once the portrait from your photo is ready, he will contact you to review it online. If you are happy you can send your payment whereupon the portrait will be posted to you within a day or two.
