I write, proofread and edit business text (PR, brochures, web copy), fiction and non-fiction works (novels, short stories, magazine articles), and offer an authoring service to provide an objective opinion on your work and a ''sounding board'' for authors. Proofreading: Check spelling, grammar, punctuation, consistency, clarity (essential edits to sentence construction). The revised file is returned in Word ''doc'' file format supporting the ''Track Changes'' feature that allows you to compare original and revised versions easily. Other options available. Copy Editing & Authoring Service: Includes all the checks of my proofreading service plus suggestions on length, readability, pace and the construction and organisation of the work. This goes beyond the mechanics of writing to include a deeper level of editing and reorganisation of the work to aid flow, clarity, impact, consistency and overall readability. If requested, I will happily give my thoughts on alternatives to the way in which the work begins, builds and ends. It''s about having someone independent to bounce ideas to and fro. No royalty strings attached: I do not ask for any earnings from future sales or to be credited by you in any way.
