At United Health we specialise in three areas; Physiotherapy: The assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries including: Work and sports injuries including golf, football, cricket, swimming and hockey Tension headaches Joint and muscle stiffness Joint and muscle strains and sprains Arthritis Ligament and tendon injuries Postural problems Pre and post surgery orthopaedic rehabilitation Poor core stability/strength Back pain, neck pain, whiplash, prolapsed disc, sciatica Ergonomics: A multi-disciplinary subject that focuses on how to maximise people's health, safety and comfort through appropriate design and health strategies. As well as assessing and advising on workplace layout and design we can provide task specific Manual Handling training, ergonomics awareness training and set up computer workstations to avoid neck, arm and back pain. These services help employers to comply with Health and Safety legislation. and Occupational Health Physiotherapy: Physiotherapy treatment for work caused/aggravated conditions including rehabilitation at the workplace. This also includes fitness for work (functional capacity assessments) and advising the workplace on how to manage injuries at work. Risk assess the workplace and advise on solutions to reduce risks identified.
