Martial Arts Heroes
Glasgow, South Lanarkshire, G74 5QD
Martial Arts Heroes is a revolutionary children's development programme that supports children's growth physically, mentally and socially and helps parents. A key component of the Martial Arts Heroes programme is the simple, but effective behaviour/home tasks rewards system taught by registered Martial Arts Heroes Instructors. This helps parents help their children with tasks and behaviours at home they'd like them to work on, when away from class, then reinforced when in class.

Zanshin Kai Shotokan Karate
Glasgow, East Dunbartonshire, G66 3DD
Zanshin Kai is a Shotokan Karate club based in the Kirkintilloch, Bishopbriggs and Lenzie areas of East Dunbartonshire and Glasgow in Central Scotland. Shihan Kenny Davis 7th dan is our Head Instructor and he has been running the club for around 30 years. We are affiliated with the Japan Shotokan Karate International, and Sensei Davis is a fellow of the International Shotokan-ryu Karate -do Shihankai. Our Syllabus roughly translates into three main areas: Self defence: Learning and practicing applications from the 27 shotokan katas including delivering high impact strikes, grappling, close range strikes, throws & takedowns, ground fighting, chokes & strangles, arm locks, leg & ankle locks, neck wrenches, finger locks, wrist locks for realistic environments where fights kick off in arms length, potentially against multiple opponents. Sport: For the more athletic among us to enter and compete in competitions at local, national and international arenas, specifically against other martial artists in a controlled environment with rules, referees, gumshield/mitts and first aiders. As a way of life: Improving health through exercise, studying the oriental martial ways and reinforcing confidence levels to deal with stressful situations outside the Dojo.
