The practice was established in 1998 by Alastair Macnab who gained international architectural experience in offices in London, Sydney (Australia), and Dublin. It has expanded in recent years with an increase in the size and complexity of projects undertaken. The ethos of the practice in designing buildings that are functional, spacious, bright, and timeless however remains unchanged. The approach is rigorous with an attention to detail that provides buildings which are practical and easy to maintain. Where possible local materials are used and the impact on the environment carefully assessed. Projects undertaken range from apartment developments to house extensions and from new build projects to the restoration of listed buildings. The practice has gained considerable expertise in the extension and alteration of existing buildings in a way which is both contemporary and sympathetic. To date projects have been completed across the UK and Ireland.
