Dosa Houze is a South Indian restaurant and the only one of its kind in the North of UK. The menu has authentic South Indian Cuisine with a contemporary mix of items which are Vegetarian & Meat based. The menu is 80% Vegetarian and 90% Gluten free. There are no creams or additives used in any items. Dosa Houze boasts of a family environ with highest standards of hospitality. It has the capacity of 20 covers downstairs and a further 30 covers on the first floor. The premise reflects the culture and hospitality of the South Indian region and creates a nostalgic trip for our customers. The most popular items are : Dosa - a soft / crisp savoury pancake of rice & lentils. Vada - a soft centered savoury Indian doughtnut of lentils. Idli - steamed cupcakes of rice & lentils. Pesarattu - savoury pancake of green lentils. The menu has meals of rice and curries as well but it is limited to only 3 / 4 curries of Vegetarian and Meat options per day. The curries are authentically made each day right from scratch and not made of sauces. This retains the commitment to authenticity, freshness and of not anglisizing the South Indian recipes. There is a takeaway and Catering service also available. Right now Dosa Houze is open 6 days a week from 5pm to 11pm. It is closed on Tuesdays. There are plans to open it for lunch from Sep''09.
