Reflexology is suitable for people of all ages, male or female. After an initial consultation, treatments are tailored to the individual. Reflexology helps to reduce stress and tension, improves circulation and lymphatic flow, aids the unblocking of nerve impulses and generally helps the body to function normally. Reflexology may offer relief from a wide range of acute and chronic conditions such as: Stress and anxiety-related problems Digestive disorders Hormonal imbalances Fertility issues Pregnancy-related problems Muscular and joint pain Sleep disorders Migraine A course of 4 to 6 treatments at weekly intervals is usually recommended, however if it is just for general relaxation then treatments can be booked as and when the client feels the need. Many people also report a general improvement in physical and mental wellbeing with regular reflexology treatments. I work from a dedicated treatment room within my home at Silverknowes in Edinburgh and I also run clinics at Medicalternative near the Dean Village at the West End of the city centre. I can also treat you in your own home if you have mobility or care issues. I was trained by the International Institute of Reflexology; I am a member of the Association of Reflexologists, am on the CNHC register (the register recommended by the Department of Health), and am also on Therapies United register (Maggies Centre register) I can also offer Thai Foot Massage and Natural Face Lift Massage. Treatments last about an hour.
