Our all-inclusive Active Antenatal method is an all-encompassing pregnancy class helping you to learn your antenatal education in a truly effective way. Each week traditional antenatal education is combined with active birth principles, taught seamlessly alongside repetitive flowing movements designed to anchor the education to your body, breath and movement, exactly where you will need it on your baby's birthing day. These progressive women only weekly classes, available from 14 weeks pregnant are delivered over 6 week terms. Babybond’s Bonding scans are designed to complement, not replace, your regular NHS antenatal scans and should not be seen as a substitute. They provide you, your partner, family and friends with the opportunity to meet your baby early on in a home from home environment, to keep records of your scan and, as confirmed by thousands of our clients over the last 8 years, to enhance the emotional bond with your new baby. Babybond’s Bonding scans do not repeat the measurements and screening protocols typically performed at your hospital scan thereby not prolonging needlessly your scan time with us. We never include the use of high powered Doppler modalities during your Bonding scan. We do reassure you of your baby’s wellbeing at the start of your Bonding scan by checking things such as baby’s heartbeat, movement and position.Babybond’s Bonding scans do not repeat the measurements and screening protocols typically performed at your hospital scan thereby not prolonging needlessly your scan time with us. For our Bonding scans, you do not need a referral. For our Dating & Growth scans we take your healthcare professional’s contact details at the time of booking. If you are in any doubt about having any type of pregnancy scan you should consult your usual GP or Midwife. Ultrasound Safety. The protocol used by Babybond for its ultrasound scans has never been shown to cause harm to either mother or baby. Babybond uses the As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA) principle when scanning. The study of ultrasound safety continues to be reviewed by the British Medical Ultrasound Society (BMUS). Babybond does not support the scanning of pregnant women at exhibitions, the practice of which is contrary to current BMUS safety guidelines.
