David Bailey, BA (HONS), ALCM, is a guitar tutor based in Dawlish, DEVON David Bailey has been giving guitar lessons privately and in both primary and secondary schools since 1993. He has taught students in small groups and individually. David teaches at all levels. David, based in South Devon, gives lessons that focus on a variety of styles to suit the student’s taste. Recordings of the lesson material are provided, together with digitally recorded backing tracks for a most enjoyable learning experience. Both adults and children are catered for.THE FIRST LESSON IS FREE OF CHARGE. If you live in Dawlish, Teignmouth, Newton Abbot or surrounding areas and want to learn to play guitar from scratch or improve your playing technique, contact David via My Guitar Lessons.co.uk David teaches at his home and also works as a peripatetic guitar tutor. (There is plenty of car parking space at David’s address). David is prepared to travel to the students home depending on distance. David has taught at both state and private schools and entered students of classical and electric guitar for Trinity College of Music and Rock School grade examinations, resulting in high pass rates. David Bailey started to play the guitar at the age of thirteen, inspired by the electric guitar sound of Hank Marvin and a variety of other 1960’s musicians. Later he became interested in both folk and classical guitar. David was classically trained at Dartington College of Arts.

Anyone can learn to play the guitar and I'm here to help make sure you succeed in learning guitar. I can teach you to play acoustic or electric guitar in many different styles. I'll even tailor your lessons to the style of music you like so you learn the songs you want to, not just the ones I like. If you've never held a guitar before, or have been playing for a while but want some help get in touch with me and see what I can offer. Guitar Lessons are generally provided on a one to one basis and taught from Andy's home, in a quiet space. There is plenty of room for a parent or friend to accompany and either observe the lesson or wait in another area. Lessons are planned and structured according the goals of each student. Andy is competent to teach different styles of playing and either acoustic or electric guitar. There will be instruction in how to practice at home in between lessons and this is strongly encouraged for best results. Pricing: Half hour lesson (recommended for beginners and those who haven't played for a while) - £13 One hour lesson - £22.50 Terms and Conditions: Prices are for one-to-one lessons. Group lessons are available upon request. Lessons are conducted at either my teaching studio or the students home. Travel expenses are included for students living in EX1, EX2, EX3 or EX4. For other postcodes, please contact me for a price. All lessons must be paid for in advance (or at start of lesson) unless overwise agreed. Cancellations must be made with at least 24 hours notice to avoid being charged for the lesson. At least 2 weeks notice must be given for permenantly cancelling lessons unless overwise agreed.
