Deaf and Equal is leading the charge against Deaf-Discrimination. The majority of equality and diversity training programmes do not cover Deaf-discrimination. The laws protecting the Deaf are very different to regular disability discrimination laws. This means that organisations are discriminating against Deaf staff/ customers/ clients/ patients/ pupils etc without knowing it. No one should be giving you advice on the law unless they are legally qualified to do so - our trainers hold a minimum of an LLB (law degree). We run from 1-to-1 sessions right up to full lecture theatres and work with the receptionist right up to the board of directors. We teach you about the real hurdles that are put in front of Deaf people every day so you can be sure that your company and your staff are no longer one of those hurdles. We teach you what Deaf - Discrimination looks like so you can ensure that you're not guilty of it. We campaign for equality and equal access to information for the Deaf community.
