It aims to protect, serve and promote its members and direct selling as a whole, and ensure high a level of business ethics and customer service. DSA Member companies account for 59% of direct sales in the UK. The DSA has worked to develop two codes which all its members must comply with :- DSA Code of Practice - a consumer code which demands fair selling methods, a 14 day cooling off period for customers and the provision of an independent Code Administrator. DSA Code of Business Conduct - this covers the fair and honest promotion of independent business opportunities in direct selling. It provides additional protection of investments in business opportunities.
